New Google Keyword Tool In Beta

Revised: July 28, 2010

Google has just released a new version of its popular (and useful) keyword tool. The new tool for keyword research is still in it’s beta version, and provides an updated interface, as well as additional keyword data.

Like the existing Google keyword tool, it shows local monthly searches and global monthly searches for the keywords it displays, as well as the estimated Adwords competition for the specified keyword.

In addition, it has incorporated a simple graph showing approximate search trends for the keywords. Extra data is available from the tool if you log in via your existing Adwords account.

As with the original keyword tool, users are able to specify language and country, and either enter specific keywords manually, or have the tool suggest keywords based on the content, and data can be order based on any of the criteria which it displays.

In the screenshots below, you’ll be able to see the options panel of the new keyword research tool, as well as how the list of keywords the tool has returned is displayed.
