The Google Places page has undergone a bit of a revamp, according to an announcement made last week by Google on their LatLong Blog, the official Google voice for all things map related, including local search results.
The updated Places pages now highlight the reviews much more. In addition, reviews and ratings can only be added by people who are signed in to a Google account, and third party reviews are no longer shown, or possible.
Below the fold, you’ll now see related places, which appear to replace the old citations. We’ll have to see what happens with these, since at the moment, it looks like they’re just links to other companies Places pages.
